Foresight Group LLP invested £5.0 million to support the management buyout of McIntyre Electrical and opened an office in Cambridge, England.

The transaction marks the private equity firm's first investment out of its £100 million Foresight East of England Fund. McIntyre Electrical provides fire and electrical safety services.

Foresight Group's new office in Cambridge is at 50/60 Station Road and will be the base of the firm's local team, including recently named Senior Investment Manager Matt McLoughlin. Martin Gammon and Jesse Holgate will become chairman and CFO of McIntyre Electrical, respectively.

McIntyre Electrical cofounder John Clifford, along with cofounder Joe McIntyre's daughter and her husband, will remain involved in the business.
