First Commercial Bank appointed Curt Gabardi to succeed President and CEO Alan Walters when the latter steps down from those roles May 1, 2021.

Gabardi was also elected to the bank's board and was named executive adviser, effective May 1.

On the effective date of Gabardi's appointment as president and CEO, Walters will become board chair.

Gabardi previously worked as president and chief banking officer with Tupelo, Miss.-based Renasant Bank before departing in 2018 to pursue other business interests.
