Consolidated Edison Inc. has issued a nonbinding request for information on clean fuels and carbon offsets for its district steam system in New York City.
Clean fuels should be in the form of renewable natural gas, power-to-gas or hydrogen and must be deliverable to Con Edison's service territory. Carbon offsets should be from domestic sources, with preference for local projects.
Con Edison serves customers in New York City and Westchester County, N.Y., through its Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. subsidiary. Steam services are available in Manhattan below 96th St.
The request for information will be held May 9 via e-sourcing platform ProcurePort.
Interested suppliers should email the company no later than 5 p.m. ET on May 2 to receive all information pertaining to the request.
