Chevron unit, Nogaholding ink agreement to evaluate future gas demand in Bahrain

Chevron Corp. unit Chevron Middle East Business Development Ltd. has entered into a joint study agreement with Bahrain's The Oil & Gas Holding Company BSC, also known as Nogaholding, to evaluate Bahrain's future gas demand and potential sources of supply.

Through the joint study, Chevron and Nogaholding also aim to establish support for a future supply chain for Bahrain's planned LNG terminal, according to a Nov. 26 news release.

Bahrain Minister of Oil Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that the agreement is in line with the country's efforts to develop a natural gas national grid and to establish a gas pipeline network that would connect Bahrain with other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
