Carnival Corp. & PLC's P&O Cruises said Aug. 26 it is extending the suspension of its cruise operations from Australia until Dec. 2 amid travel restrictions.
"It is clear that society is not yet ready to return to sailing and we will continue to liaise with governments and public health experts as all align on how people should gather and holiday," said P&O Cruises President Sture Myrmell.
Pacific Adventure, Pacific Explorer, Pacific Dawn and Pacific Aria cruises will be affected by the extended pause in the company's operations.
P&O also extended its flexible payment and cancellation policy. Guests can now cancel their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled date of departure for sailings to Jan. 31, 2021, and get future cruise credit to the value of the fare paid.
Carnival Cruise Line also extended the suspension of Carnival Spirit and Carnival Splendor's operations from Australia through Dec. 2.
