BlackRock, Vanguard, 41 other asset managers commit to net-zero emissions goal

BlackRock Inc., Vanguard Group Inc. and 41 other asset managers have committed to the goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or earlier, bringing the total number of global asset managers signatories for the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative to 73.

The 73 global asset managers, which represent $32 trillion in assets under management, have committed to set interim targets for 2030 consistent with a fair share of the 50% global reduction in greenhouse gases. They will also submit an interim target within a year of joining the initiative for the proportion of assets to be managed in connection with the net-zero emissions goal.

The 41 other asset managers include Algebris Investments, Allianz Global Investors, APG Asset Management NV , Aviva Investors, Boston Common Asset Management LLC, Boston Trust Walden Inc., Brookfield Asset Management Inc., Capricorn Investment Group LLC, Cardano Holding Ltd., Danske Bank Asset Management, Developing World Markets, FullCycle, Invesco Ltd., J Safra Sarasin Sustainable Asset Management, JGP Gestão de Crédito & JGP Gestão de Recursos, Jupiter Asset Management Ltd., La Banque Postale Asset Management, La Financière de l’Echiquier , Lazard Asset Management LLC, LGT Capital Partners Ltd., Lombard Odier Investment Managers, Macquarie Asset Management, Maitri Asset Management, Majedie Asset Management, Mirova, Montanaro Asset Management, Newton Investment Management Ltd., Nissay Asset Management Corp., NN Investment Partners, Nykredit Wealth Management, Pemberton Capital Advisors LLP, Rathbones Greenbank Investments, Royal London Asset Management Ltd., Rock Creek Group LP, SAM Investment Holdings, SEB Investment Management AB, Stafford Capital Partners, Standard Life Aberdeen PLC, Storebrand Asset Management AS, Terra Alpha Investments, and Tikehau Capital.
