Bentley Systems, Touchdown Ventures set up $100M corporate venture capital fund

Infrastructure engineering software company Bentley Systems Inc. collaborated with corporate venture capital firm Touchdown Ventures Inc. to set up Bentley iTwin Ventures, a $100 million corporate venture capital fund.

The initiative is meant to invest in tech companies dealing with the opportunity for infrastructure digital twin services for roadways, railways, waterways, bridges, utilities, industrial facilities and other infrastructure assets, according to a Nov. 10 news release.

In addition, it will invest in opportunities that may leverage the platform and open-source toolkits, with the aim of supporting commercial teaming and global reach, among other things.
