American Tower Corp. closed the acquisition of data center operator CoreSite Realty Corp.

The U.S. communications tower real estate investment trust completed the tender offer for all outstanding common shares of CoreSite and funded the deal by borrowings under its revolving credit facilities and term loans.

J.P. Morgan acted as lead financial adviser to American Tower. CDX Advisors also advised the REIT in the deal. Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP was principal legal adviser to American Tower.

Evercore was the financial adviser and Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz acted as principal legal adviser to CoreSite in the transaction.
