During this session we will explore how to determine a score based on the result of the corporate assessment of the producer, analysis of payment risk of the buyer/offtaker, analysis of commodity- and country-specific risks, as well as the mitigants provided by the structure of STCF transaction, applicable to all types of hard and soft commodities.

Irina joined S&P Global Market Intelligence as a Director in Risk Solutions team in September 2017. She has good expertise in Basel II and IFRS 9 compliant PD models across a number of asset classes with a specific focus on Project Finance and Commodity Trade/ Structured Trade Finance. Irina carries out client service engagements focused on implementation and maintenance of S&P Global models for internal ratings systems, underwriting and regulatory reporting. She is a regular speaker at events and conferences showcasing S&P Global PD and LGD models.
Prior to S&P Global Irina spent five years with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ in London, where she was a front office credit analyst, then a credit auditor covering a wide range of financial instruments. Irina’s previous positions include VTB Bank in St Petersburg as Head of Project Finance in North-West Russia, Raiffeisenbank Austria, and EBRD.
