Carmi Margalit is a Senior Director and the Life Insurance Sector Lead for the North American Financial Services Ratings group. Carmi leads the group’s research, commentary, and analytical outreach efforts on life insurance. He serves as the subject matter expert on life and annuities in North America and is one of the primary voices of S&P Global’s interactions with the market in the sector. He directly covers a portfolio of high-profile life insurers and follows the entire sector very closely.
Prior to his current role, Carmi was the analytical manager of the life and health insurance team; he was an analyst on the life team and in the structured finance group before that.

John Iten is a Senior Director and Property/Casualty Insurance Sector Lead in the North American Financial Services group at S&P Global Ratings. Prior to his current role John led a team of credit analysts within Nonlife Insurance responsible for a portfolio of North American property/casualty, multiline, title and bond insurers.
Prior to rejoining S&P in 2002, John was with Scudder Insurance Asset Management, a unit of Zurich Scudder Investments, for eight years where he focused on the management of investment portfolios for property/casualty and health insurers. Before joining Scudder, John was an analyst with Standard & Poor’s Insurance Ratings for six years with responsibility for a portfolio of U.S. and European property/casualty and life insurers.
