Langa Malimela is Head of the Sub-Saharan Africa Country Risk team, within Market Intelligence at S&P Global. He specializes in analysing developments relevant to political and business risks on the African continent focusing on the southern Africa region. His research covers risk forecasts and analysis, including of war, terrorism, and political unrest, as well as the impact of business risks — tax, legal, operational — on industry sectors and companies. Prior to joining S&P Global, Langa led government affairs at a large African multinational corporation and also lectured on political science and international relations across a number of South African universities.
