Full BioDeepa Kumar is the head of Asia-Pacific Country Risk. She leads a team that delivers thought leadership and analysis on a range of APAC-wide topics including political reordering, evolving regulatory trends, risk of conflict in the region, dynamics impacting regional supply chains, the future of technology governance, and the increasing importance of national security in regional trade and energy transition.
Deepa also leads analysis on India, and routinely contributes to corporate-wide initiatives focused on India. She co-heads the S&P Global India Research Chapter.
Deepa has a background in Indian parliamentary research and was previously an entrepreneur whose organization in New Delhi focused on increasing citizen engagement with political representatives.
Deepa holds a Master's in Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
