NH Investment & Securities collaborate with IHS Markit to launch a global IB standard for Overseas Stock Rights Information Inquiry Service

NH Investment & Securities (CEO Jung Young-chae, www.nhqv.com) announced on the 25th that the company will open the global IB level to enhance the convenience of overseas stock trading customers. With the opening of the service, basic information such as dividends and stock split of foreign stocks in customer accounts, as well as sensitive information such as trading suspension and delisting, can be provided faster and more accurately than any other domestic securities company.

In the case of overseas stock rights information provided in South Korea, the procedures are different for each country, and the planned dates for mergers/splits, etc. change frequently, increasing the customers' inconvenience. Also, since overseas stock rights are confirmed through the Korea Securities Depository, it takes 2-3 days longer than in the local market for the rights information to be reflected in the customers' accounts. As the number of overseas stock transactions by domestic customers has increased significantly, the demand for the equivalent level of rights information as in the local market is increasing.

Accordingly, NH Investment & Securities' upgraded, is a service that takes overseas rights information to the next step, which has been weak in the domestic securities industry, to the level of the world's top-tier financial institutions for the first time in the industry. With the opening of this service, NH Investment & Securities customers can have access to the overseas stocks corporate actions information easily. It provides not only information on stock split and dividends, but also important information on scheduled rights events, such as suspension, delisting, and bankruptcy, which are essential for stock trading.

NH Investment & Securities is the first in the industry to provide customers with verified rights information at the level of global securities companies in a timely and accurate manner through solutions from IHS Markit, a world leader in critical information, analytics, and solutions. NH Investment & Securities shareholding securities are up to 11,000 securities currently, and it is estimated that the number of corporate actions events processed will exceed 100,000 annually.

IHS Markit verifies the corporate actions information for more than 3 million securities across 170 countries supporting global, regional investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and other financial institutions with industry-leading corporate actions solutions. Through this service, NH Investment & Securities will provide customers with accurate and clear information on overseas rights.

NH Investment & Securities' LEE Seung-Ah, Head of Global Product Solutions Division, said "As the number of overseas stock trading customers is rapidly increasing, we decided to open this service because we thought that providing timely and accurate information on overseas corporate actions should come first more than anything" We will continue to provide services at the level of top-tier global investment banks, starting with stock rights information inquiry service." In addition, he added, "We will continue to strive to discover various services that give convenience to our stock trading customers."
