Europe M&A by the Numbers: 2024 in Review

The European M&A market experienced a slight increase during the Q4 of 2024 compared to the previous period. On a year-over-year basis, transaction values grew by 4%, while the number of deals rose by 13%. Two significant transactions during the quarter included the acquisition of Techem GmbH and the merger of Aviva plc and Direct Line Insurance Group plc. The UK continued to lead the European region in both deal value and volume.
