Saugata Saha, President of S&P Global Market Intelligence since November 2024, is steering the company through one of the most significant technological transformations of the data and financial services sector’s history. With over a decade of experience at S&P Global, his journey began in 2014 when he joined McGraw-Hill Financial, later becoming part of S&P Global following its rebranding.
Saugata's strategic foresight was key during S&P Global’s acquisition of Kensho Technologies in 2018, a move that integrated natural language processing and machine learning into the company’s products. These technologies have since been applied across S&P Global’s platforms, enhancing data analysis and client tools.
“We’ve been deeply embedded with AI in our business even before generative AI,” says Saugata emphasizing the company’s long-term focus on advancing data technology.
Under Saugata's leadership, S&P Global has welcomed AI and machine learning not just in product innovation, but in ensuring data interoperability across its expansive datasets. His focus on combining data from various sources is helping to shape the future of capital markets, where the goal is seamless integration and intelligent, AI-powered insights.
As S&P Global adapts to the AI era, we remain dedicated to making data accessible, accurate, and actionable for clients, ensuring we’re at the forefront of the industry’s evolution.
