Stonepeak buys Air Transport Services; Animal Spirits leads Unito series D round

– Stonepeak Partners LP acquired aircraft leasing company Air Transport Services Group Inc. for about $3.1 billion in an all-cash deal. Evercore was Stonepeak's financial adviser, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Hogan Lovells US LLP were its legal advisers. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC was Air Transport's financial adviser, and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, Vorys Sater Seymour & Pease LLP, and Silverberg Goldman LLP were its legal advisers.

– Animal Spirits led a series D funding round for Tokyo-based real estate-focused software developer Unito Inc.

– Caffeinated Capital Management LLC invested $12 million in a series A round for first-captive insurance platform XN Cos. Inc., now known as Luzern Risk.
