Head of APAC, S&P Global Sustainable1
Koji Omachi currently serves as the Head of APAC for S&P Global Sustainable1. In his role, Omachi is working with the Sustainable1 global leadership team as well as the APAC leadership to define and solidify Sustainable1’s strategy and governance in Japan, an important and growing market.
Omachi joins Sustainable1 from Citigroup Global Markets Japan, where he has held key strategic roles over the past 20 years, with a strong focus on business development in sustainable finance. Prior to joining S&P Global Sustainable1, he served Citigroup as Managing Director of the Corporate Transformation Advisory function and previously as Japan Sustainability Champion, a role in which he led a cross-divisional initiative bringing together key teams to scale up business rapidly and enhance visibility of sustainable finance. Before his tenure at Citigroup Global Markets, Omachi began his career at Nomura Securities Company Ltd. for fourteen years as an Executive Director of International Debt Capital Markets.
Omachi earned a Bachelor of Engineering/Basic Physics degree from Tohoku University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
