President, S&P Global Sustainable1
As President of S&P Global Sustainable1, Chris leads the organizational strategy to drive growth and innovation. Chris works closely with S&P Global’s divisions to enable and ensure collaboration focused on delivering quality and value for S&P Global’s clients for their existing and emerging sustainability priorities.
Previously, Chris held the role of Executive Managing Director & Chief Commercial Officer for S&P Global Ratings, where he led the Sales and Marketing organizations to leverage external insight to develop and promote new products and services to sell in our markets around the world. Chris’s organization was also responsible for product innovations to elevate client focus, engage the market and deliver even greater value. Chris was a member of the S&P Global Ratings Executive Committee.
Before joining S&P Global, Chris was with HSBC, where he was most recently Managing Director & Global Head of International Subsidiary Banking for the Commercial Banking Group. In this role, Chris had responsibility for teams in 55 countries around the world focused on delivering a consistent, client-driven sales and relationship management organization to over 35,000 clients globally. Prior to this, he held several senior-level sales and operating roles at HSBC with multi-regional responsibilities and was based in the U.S. and Hong Kong.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Green Mountain College and has recently completed further executive education in Leading Global Businesses at Harvard Business School.
