Manjit Jus is Managing Director and Global Head of ESG Research at S&P Global.
Manjit led the ESG Ratings business at sustainable investment pioneer RobecoSAM prior to the acquisition of the business by S&P Global in January 2020. Manjit oversees the SAM Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) and ESG Research powering the various S&P Global Divisions. He chairs the S&P Global CSA Methodology Committee and sits on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices Committee.
Since 2011, Manjit has held a number or roles in ESG research and technology, engaging with corporates and investors on ESG strategy and integration. In his current role, Manjit works with other senior leaders across the S&P Global divisions to define and deliver the cross-division ESG strategy. He is based in Zurich, Switzerland where he oversees a team of over 20 ESG analysts and specialists as well as over 150 analysts based in the Asia Pacific region.

Mona is Global Head of ESG Capital Markets Strategy for S&P Global Sustainable1. Previously, Mona was Senior Director, Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Product Strategy, North America at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, Mona lead the strategy for developing ESG indices for the North American market, from best-in-class approaches like the world-renowned Dow Jones Sustainability Index, to broad-market ESG alternatives and core solutions like the S&P 500 ESG Index. She also served as the global spokesperson for S&P DJI's ESG Indices, educating the market on the values of ESG investing and our industry-leading ESG lineup.
Prior to joining S&P DJI, Mona was Director at Trucost (part of S&P Global) and advised some of North America's biggest institutional investors on low-carbon and fossil fuel free strategies, energy transition alignment, and meeting the recommendations of the TCFD for investors. Mona served as an advisor to the Obama Administration on climate and energy policy and worked for several years as an economist at the UK's Bank of England. Mona also ran for public office in UK local government elections of 2010 and 2014 and devised the local Liberal Democrat party's communication strategy around education and the environment.
Mona graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Government and Economics (double major) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is an experienced public speaker and regular market commentator on sustainable finance issues, with published works on topics as diverse as disruptive technologies to the problem of "short-termism" in mainstream finance. She is a recipient of the FiNext Excellence in Finance Leadership Award 2019 and was a shortlisted nominee for the Women in Asset Management Awards in the Index Category of Minimize

Lauren Smart is Chief Commercial Officer of S&P Global Sustainable1, with global expertise in sustainable finance. She leads a team committed to growing S&P Global’s ESG business with functional responsibilities for commercial strategy, go to market, product specialists, client engagement and marketing.
Prior to joining S&P Lauren was a member of the board and senior management team of Trucost responsible for the successful sale of the business to S&P Dow Jones Indices in 2016 and integrating the Trucost business into S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2018. She was integrally involved in a number of major market innovations such as developing the world’s first portfolio carbon footprint and helped grow the Trucost business from being a start up to a market leader in climate finance. Prior to Trucost, Lauren worked in Equity Research in the fund management industry and was a consultant at the UK Government’s Department for International Development working on the Millennium Development Goals.
Lauren is a regular speaker and respected commentator on sustainable finance, quoted in publications such as the Economist, Investment Week, IPE and The Actuary. In 2019 she was a speaker in Davos at the World Economic Forum on, “The future of finance”. Lauren holds a BA & MA from Cambridge University in Archaeology & Anthropology and an MSc in Anthropology & International Development from the London School of Economics.
