The Big Picture on the Energy Transition and Climate Risk: Brazil

Date:
Time:
Tuesday, 8 April 2025
14:00 -19:00
Location:
Sao Paulo, Brazil

As we progress into 2025, exposure to energy and climate-related risk has arguably never been higher. S&P Global Commodity Insights predicts $60T in energy investment opportunities by 2050 across clean energy technologies, power, and transmission globally under a net zero scenario. Over this same period, S&P Global Sustainable1 identifies  almost $25 trillion in cumulative financial impacts for the world’s largest companies due to changing climate hazard exposures under this net-zero scenario.

Recognizing the unique challenge businesses, investors and banks face in fully understanding and responding to these risks, S&P Global is bringing together the market-leading analysis and expertise of our Energy Transition and Sustainability Services (ETSS) division in a series of global insight forums in 2025.

During this forum, participants will:

  • Hear from scenario experts on the likely trajectories for future energy markets and their impact on GHG emissions pathways and global temperature outcomes

  • Examine the investment opportunity presented by the transition to a low-carbon economy

  • Learn how companies need to adapt to a rapidly-evolving marketplace and volatile policy environment

  • Understand exposure to physical climate risk – and strategies to manage that risk

  • Reimage the energy transition on the road to COP30 in Brazil
