Ellen Gorham (she/her) is the Director of Climate Crisis & Sustainability, overseeing the American Red Cross’s fundraising strategy and execution for the Red Cross’s five-year, $1.2 billion dollar Climate Crisis Campaign. She enjoys helping the Red Cross raise funds to adapt its mission and serve vulnerable, frontline communities more equitably and innovatively, and reduce the entire organization’s environmental footprint. She is also supporting other transformational giving ($5 million+) efforts across the organization.
Prior to this, Ellen served as Director, Disaster Fundraising and supported this team for nearly a decade at the Red Cross. Ellen and her team led campaigns in response to large domestic and international disasters that raised more than $1.4 billion. Ellen also oversaw our national CEO's fundraising efforts and the Red Cross’s domestic charity watchdog relationships, such as BBB and Charity Navigator.
Ellen was a senior consultant with CCS Fundraising. Here she led major fundraising efforts for the Maryland Hospital Association and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Ellen also directed field operations for two U.S. Congressional campaigns, supported government relations for IAC.com and was a WorldTeach volunteer in Hunan Province, China. Ellen received an M.P.A. in from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a B.A. in Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Ellen, her husband, their two young daughters and one large aquarium of fish reside in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a proud blood donor and serves as President of the board of the Wake County Community Foundation. Minimize

With more than 25 years’ experience in corporate citizenship and sustainability, Alyson Genovese leads S&P Global’s global corporate responsibility strategy and implementation. In this role, she oversees S&P Global’s work with nonprofit and corporate responsibility partners, the company’s employee engagement programs as well as its philanthropic work. Alyson and her team also lead the company’s ESG performance, reporting and enterprise-wide integration.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Alyson was the head of North America for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an independent organization providing the world’s most widely used standards for sustainability management, tracking and disclosure. Alyson was the principal owner of Cause Solutions, a strategic advisory group serving business and nonprofit organizations in program design & implementation, corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement. She built her experience in community investment, cause branding, and stakeholder communications through earlier roles at Comcast, Cone Communications, Points of Light Foundation and more.
Alyson holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire and a graduate certificate in nonprofit & public administration from George Mason University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University. When not working, she can be found chasing her husband and two teenage daughters around Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. Minimize
