Mary Kate Bullen leads Forest Investment Associates’ (FIA’s) sustainability and ESG programs, working across the business to identify opportunities to preserve and create value for FIA and throughout its clients’ sustainable forestry portfolios.
Mary Kate Bullen leads Forest Investment Associates’ (FIA’s) sustainability and ESG programs, working across the business to identify opportunities to preserve and create value for FIA and throughout its clients’ sustainable forestry portfolios. As a Registered Investment Adviser and environmental steward, FIA has helped clients across the world invest in sustainable forestry since 1986 and today manages around USD 4.6 billion AUM across 2+ million acres. Throughout her career, MaryKate has focused on development and implementation of innovative approaches to sustainable investment in forestry, carbon markets, and conservation across North America, Australasia, Southeast Asia, and South America. At FIA, MaryKate chairs the ESG Committee and is a member of the Investment Committee. She is also an active participant in industry developments for responsible investment in forestry and natural climate solutions, including serving on working groups and advisory roles related to carbon accounting, impact measurement, and private markets responsible investment. She currently serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the Women’s Forest Congress and as an advisor to environmental data software company Upstream Tech.

Nathalie Borgeaud has significant experience in the financial industry, with a longstanding focus on sustainability.
Nathalie Borgeaud has significant experience in the financial industry, with a longstanding focus on sustainability. Prior to joining TNFD in February 2022, Nathalie worked for a start-up, now a Moody’s subsidiary, promoting data on physical climate risk and nature loss among European financial institutions. Before that, she worked as senior co-director for Corporate Social Responsibility at BNP Paribas CIB. She designed and implemented a sustainable development strategy, which included monitoring Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks and developing green financial product offerings. She built her finance career negotiating large complex financings for corporate clients with BNP Paribas and JPMorgan Chase for about twelve years. Initially based in New York with Citi, she originated project finance, bonds and equity issues for large industrial projects key to the development of emerging countries.
Nathalie is an ingénieur of the French Grande Ecole Mines-ParisTech. She also holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a landscape architect degree from Ecole du Paysage de Versailles.
Based in Paris, Nathalie speaks French, English, and Italian.
