Eric Aboaf

Chief Financial Officer

Eric Aboaf is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for S&P Global and a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the Company’s finance function including strategy and M&A.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Mr. Aboaf served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice Chairman for State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT). In these roles, he was responsible for the global financial strategy and finance functions, including treasury, accounting, tax, reporting, strategy and M&A, and investor relations. He also oversaw its markets and financing business. His focus was on investing for growth, driving productivity, and deploying the balance sheet.

Mr. Aboaf has held various senior leadership roles in the financial services industry. Prior to State Street, Mr. Aboaf served as CFO for Citizens Financial Group (NYSE: CFG), one of the largest regional banks in the United States, where he led all financial functions of the company with a focus on driving growth, expanding net interest margin, and leading efficient capital allocation programs. He also previously held senior financial roles during his twelve years with Citigroup (NYSE: C), including as Treasurer where he managed the company's $1.9 trillion balance sheet. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Bain & Company where he co-led the U.S. financial services consulting practice and focused on growth strategy.

Mr. Aboaf graduated summa cum laude from The Wharton School and the Engineering School at the University of Pennsylvania, earned a master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and serves as Board Chair of the New York City Urban Debate League.
