Upstream Intelligence Country Manager at S&P Global Commodity Insights
Nicholas joined S&P Global in April 2020 and currently works as an Upstream Intelligence Country Manager for a number of West African countries: Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo for S&P Global’s Upstream Intelligence Global Exploration & Production Service (GEPS). Nicholas's responsibilities include researching, analyzing and reporting information and insight on oil and gas activities within his countries as well as developing his contact network with oil players and African authorities, through regular client visits and conferences. Prior to his current role Nicholas worked within the Vantage Research and Content team with a focus on West Africa driving decisions on likely development scenarios, asset-level production, development and production costs as well as economic analysis for the Vantage analytical platform. He is based in Geneva, Switzerland, where he works alongside S&P Global’s wider Africa intelligence team.
Before joining S&P Global, Nicholas has worked for international E&P service companies with a focus on sedimentary logging and seismic processing, as a Geoscientist for a Sub-Saharan Africa focused operator and most recently as a commodity analyst specialising in sulphur. He holds a MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Royal Holloway, University of London and a BSc in Geology from the University of Bristol.
