Gaurav Vangaal

Associate Director, Light Vehicle Production Forecast, Indian subcontinent at S&P Global Mobility, has over a decade of varied working experience in the automotive sector.

Gaurav is an IIM-A alumnus and one of the leading analysts available in today's Indian automotive market. Before joining S&P Global, he has worked on a production line for the Volkswagen Group's Skoda plant in Aurangabad. He also led the corporate research for a leading auto component maker, Magneti Marelli of Fiat Group. Gaurav holds a critical responsibility of forecasting on the Indian market, which is amongst the most complex markets in the world due to its regulatory uncertainty and diverse customer base, who have a different buying behavior. He also assists global carmakers on product clinics, while providing expertise on market entry segments & features for price bundling. Gaurav also holds the responsibility to interact with all C-level clients for IHS Markit in India for his domain.

He is an MBA and also has a Mechanical Engineering degree. He recently completed his studies on Data analytics with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning from IIM- Ahmedabad. His specialization includes Forecasting & Product Planning, Data Analytics(AI/ML/Tableau), and Market Intelligence.
