Mengyin Tao is a principal analyst within the automotive supply chain & technology group, specializing in automotive chassis components and light weighting materials

Mengyin acts as a regional analyst for creation and maintenance of datasets and forecasts related to automotive chassis components and body-in-white materials. His responsibilities include deconstructing the core essentials, capturing the supply-chain dynamics, and analyzing the market potentials for advanced automotive technologies, like "by-wire" systems' adoption for next generation chassis control, mega-casting aluminum for car body production. He is also widely engaged in industry forums and sessions within Greater China region. Prior to joining S&P Global Mobility, he served as a senior design engineer at a global OEM and took responsibility of developing suspension and steering components for several passenger cars models, successfully launched in both domestic and global markets.

Mengyin holds master's and bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering from Southeast University (Nanjing, China) and Shandong University (Jinan, China)
