Beatriz Serrano-Suarez is the GEPS editor for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands since 2018 at S&P Global Commodity Insights

Currently Beatriz is the editor for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands where she researches and writes about the oil and gas industry of these countries. Beatriz has more than 15 years of experience as a geologist working for both the industry and academia, including BP and Schlumberger, and several publications including the Journal of South American Earth Sciences, the Industry-Rice Earth Science Symposia (IRESS), the American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG) and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB).

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, a Master of Science degree in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil and a Master of Science degree in Structural Geology from Rutgers University in the United States.
