AvijoySengupta is based in India and is a member of the Emissions Technical team in the Centre of Emission Excellence within S&P Global Commodity Insights. As a part of the technical team, he is responsible for estimating & publishing monthly carbon intensities of upstream oil & gas assets. He is also leading the center's efforts on modelling carbon intensity of iron-ore and other metals & mining commodities which are of strategic importance. Avijoy has nearly 5 years of experience across consulting, research & analytics advising companies and industry on their decarbonization strategy. In his professional tenure he has worked across different commodities including Crude oil, LNG, Hydrogen, Power, Cobalt, Copper & Iron ore. He holds a bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Applied Petroleum Engineering with a specialization in Natural Gas from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, India.​
