Michael Reale

Associate Director, Automotive Global Regulatory Analysis

Michael Reale serves as associate director of global regulatory analysis for Automotive Planning Solutions at S&P Global Mobility

Michael is responsible for determining light vehicle fuel economy, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions regulations for the major worldwide vehicle markets and implementing these regulatory requirements into S&P Global Mobility compliance forecast products and consulting engagements. Prior to joining the S&P Global in 2019 when Novation Analytics was acquired, he previously held the same role at startup Novation Analytics from 2014-2019. Prior to that role, he has over 14 years of experience at Chrysler Corporation and DaimlerChrysler in a variety of emissions systems engineering, certification, and regulatory development positions.

Michael has represented the automaker in industry negotiations with the US Environmental Protection Agency. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University along with M.S. Mechanical Engineering and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
