Michal Plochec is a senior economist, Europe, at S&P Global Market Intelligence, based in Gdansk, Poland.

Michal is responsible for economic analysis and forecasting for several European countries, mostly emerging economies. Michal joined the European economics team at S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2019. Before that he had worked as an Information Specialist in the Global Data Operations team at IHS Markit since 2015.

Michal holds a master's degree in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and a master's degree in law from the University of Gdansk. He is fluent in English and Polish and speaks some Italian.
