Gary McDonald, an associate director at S&P Global Commodity Insights, focuses on the Northeast and Southeast power markets with the North American power markets analysis team.

Mr. McDonald has more than 15 years of energy industry experience, specializing in the analysis of energy and capacity markets, scenarios forecasting, and integrated resource planning. He is an author of the Northeast and Southeast Power Market Briefings and Profiles. Through presentations and written reports, Mr. McDonald advises stakeholders in the energy industry on trends in policy, relative compensation of resources, and power market fundamentals.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Mr. McDonald was a software developer with Raytheon Company. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University, United States.
