Tony Loy

Tony Loy is a senior specialist in technical research within the Petrodata Field Development team at S&P Global Commodity Insights in the Singapore office.

Tony covers the research and analysis of vessel activity of construction vessels that work on offshore wind farm projects and the oil and gas sector. He joined the Petrodata team in 2018 and was in the rigs and marine vessel teams for more than a year before being assigned to the field development team. Currently, he tracks construction vessels such as wind turbine installation vessels and heavy lift crane vessels for offshore wind farm projects in the Asia Pacific and the Far East Region, particularly in China.

Before joining S&P Global, Tony had over 20 years of commercial experience in the offshore and marine industry. He was a senior business development manager closely involved in project management, sales and marketing, and business development activities in Singapore as well as in neighboring countries of Vietnam and Indonesia. He understands the usefulness of accurate market intelligence and analysis in business operations and keeps close tabs on industry trends by maintaining good relationships with various stakeholders such as vessel operators, shipyards, and overseas manufacturers for drilling rigs and marine vessels.
