Mieko Hongu

Mieko Hongu joined S&P Global Mobility Automotive Insight team in May 2020 and is responsible for Light Vehicle Production Forecast in Europe and Middle East Africa regions.

With over a decade of rich experience in the automotive industry, she has honed her skills in market research, business planning, and cost calculation. Her familiarity with quotation processes in the automotive industry further underscores her comprehensive understanding of the field. Prior to join the team, Mieko worked as a Market Strategist at a leading air conditioning component supplier. This followed her carrier at one of Japan's largest automotive suppliers, where she made substantial contributions.

Mieko holds a Master's degree in Contemporary East Asian Studies at University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and a Bachelor's degree in Language and Culture at Osaka University, Japan.
