Rob Hatchett is a Senior Economist and member of the Food and Agricultural Commodities Economics team at S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Rob has over a decade of experience analyzing agricultural commodity markets. His focus is on cotton, rice, and vegetable oil markets and determining how supply and demand considerations impact price discovery. Diverse experiences in back-office and procurement roles within the US grain and food industries provide expertise in applying risk management strategies with practical implications for clients.

Before joining S&P Global Commodity Insights , Rob was a grain and oilseed economist whose primary focus was formulating US supply and demand projections for a client advisory service.

Rob received a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business at the University of Arkansas along with a master's degree In Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University.
