Colin Giles researches vehicle interior and lighting components and technologies on a global basis, including seat assemblies, seat adjustment mechanisms, seat comfort features, interior trim, sunroofs, and lighting systems.
As the global subject matter expert for automotive seating, he is responsible for the management and creation of a growing portfolio of seating forecasts and tracks trends of new technologies, installation rates, and activities within the seating market. Colin began his work in the automotive industry with Magna International as a Market Planning Analyst exploring automotive trends, market intelligence and related business opportunities. He joined the Supply Chain and Technology team at S&P Global in 2018, where he refined his focus to automotive interiors and lighting, with a specialty in automotive seating. Mr. Giles graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and an Economics Minor.
