She began her career in Shanghai, China, as the managing editor of the branded magazine of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. There, she developed long-form analytical articles on subjects such as the reform of China's state-owned enterprises, national energy policy, and China's credit markets.

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a bachelor's degree in Chinese language and culture from the University of Texas at Austin, United States.
