Johannes Bauer, Ph.D.

As part of the Technology team, Dr Bauer partners with business stakeholders at S&P Global to develop and enhance products that involve the application of data science and AI. He has led many data science initiatives including work in the fields of Dividend Forecasting, Fixed Income, Private Markets, Climate Change Risk and Supply Chain. He has more than 15 years of experience in quantitative modelling with a focus on machine learning, statistics, optimization, distributed computing and GenAI. Dr Bauer also has a proven research record with more than thirty peer-reviewed papers published. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London, United Kingdom.
