Karen Wurdack, PhD, is a quantitative specialist for Research Signals, which provides quantitative factors, models and solutions to S&P Global’s institutional customers worldwide.

Dr. Karen conducts research across global markets relating quantitative factors and models with market trends. She also leads the production of the team's research and new product publications across equity, fixed income, options, securities lending and credit default swap markets, including alternative data sources and cryptocurrencies. She joined Quantitative Services Group in 2009, which was acquired by Markit in 2011, and is now part of S&P Global. She brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Karen was a quantitative analyst and portfolio manager in the investment management division of Bank of America or its affiliates since August 1993.

She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri - St Louis in 2005.
