Lyn has deep insight into the overall structure and business of the global chemical industry, gained through many years of interaction at the highest levels, and is a long- term commentator on industry activity. This includes corporate response to external trends, such as global market cycles driving restructuring, M&A, ESG, Diversity, Innovation, and other considerations for business success.
At S&P Global, Lyn is responsible for the Business Information and Same Day Analysis services, developing and managing a suite of products including Company Strategies and Performance, plus Midstream Essentials global energy infrastructure database, and Assets capacity database for global chemicals and agrichemicals. In addition, she is Publisher of Chemical Week daily news and information service, and heads global Events for the Oil, Midstream, Downstream, and Chemical business.
She has a degree in Politics and Economics from the University of Manchester, and briefly studied at the Sorbonne, Paris. Her career includes working for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in Vienna at a time of opening borders and markets between East and West Europe. She travelled extensively to China when the country was opening to commerce and western chemical companies were establishing a chemical manufacturing footprint, and closely followed and reported on similar activity across the Mideast. Lyn is well known for her skills in moderating exclusive Roundtables for C-Suite executives.
