Suzie Skipper

Suzie Skipper is an experienced Editor in Fertecon's Fertilizer Current Information team at S&P Global Commodity Insights, having started in the industry in 1992.

Suzie has researched and written real-time, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and covered several commodities including fertilizers, metals and petrochemicals previously at Fertecon, S&P Global Platts and Argus Media.

After starting out as price reporter and analyst covering the bi-monthly and quarterly potash reports, she moved into news and market coverage of the base metals markets as a managing editor at S&P Global Platts. Suzie also worked as a freelancer for several years when her four children were younger, covering both the secondary aluminium market as well as in-depth coverage of various European fertilizer markets. In addition she wrote for a parenting magazine. Nitrogen fertilizers became her main specialty in 2018 when she went to work for Argus Media, before re-joining Fertecon in 2021.

Suzie graduated with a BA in Drama and Comparative Literary Studies from the University of Kent, Canterbury and prior to joining Fertecon, she worked as an international advertising executive at a multi-national agency. She has a working knowledge of both French and Italian having lived in both countries.
