Min Rao

Min Rao is a Consulting Director in the Upstream Oil & Gas Consulting team at S&P Global Commodity Insights

Based in Houston, Min advises public and private oil and gas clients across the world and manages consulting projects. She has brought over 20 years' experience specializing in oil & gas asset valuation and due diligence, production forecast and reserve assessment, E&P company performance and benchmark analysis, full-scale field development planning and cost evaluation, cost and technology trends, opportunity screening and operations strategy for both conventional and unconventional assets. Min also has particular expertise and experience in CCUS and CO2 EOR.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Min was a Director, Economic Analysis at ATP Oil & Gas Co., responsible for economic and technical evaluation of oil and gas assets for acquisition, divestiture, portfolio management, and lending transactions in offshore shelf and deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

Min holds a Master of Science in Finance from University of Wyoming, USA and a BA in Material Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology, China. She is a long time member of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) and SPEE (Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers).
