Wolfgang Moehler, director for the Climate and Sustainability practice at S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Wolfgang is a director with the Climate and Sustainability team at S&P Global Commodity Insights, with 15 years of progressive experience across the energy value chain. He leads S&P Global Commodity Insights North American natural gas market modeling/analytics. Wolfgang is one of the main contributors to the long-term natural gas market message, integrating the interplay between domestic demand and supply developments with the ever more important export markets. Projects have included modeling cash flows from proposed infrastructure investments; gas procurement strategies; due diligence for power, industrial, and LNG facilities; and, pipeline competitiveness. His expertise includes energy modeling, infrastructure, market fundamentals, strategy, and risk management processes. Previously, Wolfgang focused on global LNG and led the Global LNG Value Chain and Markets service. His research focused on emerging strategic trends, LNG supply, and LNG price developments.

Wolfgang holds a Diploma in physics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, and an MA in political science from Vanderbilt University.
