Sofia Sanchez Manzanaro is an EU Policy Reporter covering agriculture, sustainability and trade at S&P Global Commodity Insights

Sofia is a reporter covering European agricultural, sustainability, and trade policies. As part of her role at S&P Global Commodity Insights, she writes daily articles on the latest developments in these areas and closely monitors the impact of the war in Ukraine on the EU's agri-food and fertilizer industries. Additionally, Sofia reports on a diverse range of agri-food policy topics, including EU trade agreements and new sustainability legislation.
Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insights, Sofia worked as a TV producer and digital journalist at Euronews, where she focused on reporting EU affairs to a global audience.
She is based in Belgium but has lived in Poland, France, Canada, and Spain. Thanks to her international experiences, she speaks fluent French and English, in addition to her native languages, Spanish and Catalan.
Sofia holds a Master's degree from the College of Europe and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Valencia in Spain.
