Executive Director, Upstream Customer Support
Dylan Mair is executive director of global field support for upstream energy content at S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Dylan's team is located in over a dozen countries to ensure customer success using upstream databases, editorial, analytics and APIs. They also publish the Upstream Solutions Digest, providing quarterly workflows for exploration, production, and asset valuation strategy. He previously led information sourcing and editorial for S&P Global in Asia Pacific and launched its regional upstream research and consulting practice. Dylan has also held commercial roles with the launch of S&P Global asset valuations, upstream product management and data room evaluation. Dylan recently co-chaired a virtual Digital Subsurface conference with Petronas and Woodside for EAGE/AAPG.
Dylan has over 25 years oil and gas experience. He previously led the subsurface consulting practice for Halliburton in Asia Pacific. In this role he managed field development and exploration teams on behalf of oil and gas operators and developed geoscience training programs onboarding hundreds of graduates. He was also embedded in customer asset teams to deliver subsurface studies using new geophysical technologies.
Dylan has also chaired a conference for SEAPEX on exploration and a workshop for AAPG on Asian unconventional oil and gas. He has published over 40 papers and presentations on geoscience, exploration, and digital transformation.
Dylan has a Bachelor of Science, first honours in geophysics, from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is a Masters of Information and Data Science student at the University of California, Berkeley, USA.
