Associate Director, Freight Transportation Consulting
Aleksandra Maguire is associate director of consulting and analysis of freight transportation team at S&P Global Market Intelligence, focused on US.
Aleksandra is responsible for various freight transportation issues, market and supply chain analysis for transportation industry and modeling. She is responsible for management and development of the county-level and commodity-detailed forecast for the TRANSEARCH® database. Her experience includes conducting trade and market assessments for transportation carriers and public sector organizations, advising on business opportunities, growth strategies, multi-modal, intermodal and distribution improvements, and capital investments. She was responsible for uncovering the expected timing and nature of emerging technologies in the commercial vehicle market. Her other responsibilities include Supply Chain Risk analysis and scoring for 64 countries globally.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Aleksandra was a research and teaching assistant at the Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute of the University of Memphis. Her studies focused on evaluating gate reservation strategies at an intermodal rail terminal, using the newly expanded BNSF rail terminal in Memphis as a case study. The research also includes micro-simulation modeling of the transportation network in the area surrounding Memphis and the effects of gate strategies on relieving road congestion and truck idling.
Aleksandra holds a master's degree in civil engineering (transportation) from the University of Memphis, United States and a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of Belgrade-Serbia. Aleksandra speaks English and Serbian.
