Max is based in S&P Global Commodity Insights's London office, covering energy transition, clean technology, ESG investing, climate risk, and decarbonization policy developments in Asian and other countries for Net-Zero Business Daily and Connect Platform.
Max has been writing and editing news stories from Asia and Europe for more than a decade, focusing on topics related to energy and shipping. Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, Max was once named Seahorse Journalist of the Year and shortlisted for Royal Statistical Society's Statistical Excellence in Journalism Awards for his works.
Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insights, Max covered oil shipping, bunker fuel, energy transition and other shipping-related matters for TradeWinds. He led the editorial team for commodities shipping markets of Lloyd's List before that. Max was an energy reporter for Dow Jones and Thomson Reuters before covering maritime transport.
Max holds a Master of Art with Distinction in international journalism from the University of Westminster.
