Technical Research Principal
Christopher Kennett is a technical research principal for S&P Global Commodity Insights and specializes in upstream emissions research and modelling for the Upstream International group.
Christopher is an expert on upstream emissions, the monitoring of stored subsurface CO2, upstream asset valuation and cost modelling, and petroleum geoscience.
Christopher has worked in the upstream energy sector for over ten years. Prior to his current role, he worked in S&P Global Vantage central content group, providing support to regional analysts and enhancements to Vantage's global upstream content offering. Before arriving at S&P Global. He had a variety of different roles in the upstream industry. These include the positions of project developer and interpretation geophysicist for TGS, United Kingdom, and geoscientist for Equinor, Norway. For the latter function, he worked in the Sleipner asset team and assisted with the geophysical monitoring and assessment of the asset's high profile CO2 storage project.
Christopher holds an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London, United Kingdom, and an MSci (Hons) in Resource and Applied Geology from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
