Sarah Haggas, Ph.D.

Middle East Regional Research Director

Dr Sarah Haggas is our Regional Research Director for the Middle East and is based in our Tetbury office in the UK.

Her team of researchers and analysts cover oil and gas activity throughout the Middle East region. Sarah is responsible for the content of the Iran, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and the Divided Zone GEPS reports. She has delivered presentations and published several articles on the Middle East upstream sector. Focus areas include Iran, Iraq and Eastern Mediterranean upstream hydrocarbon exploration, development and production.

Sarah has assumed various roles at S&P Global Commodity Insights, including Field Researcher for the Australasia and Middle East regional teams. Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insights in 2002, she worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher for the Borehole Research Group at the University of Leicester, UK. Sarah is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Sarah holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Leicester, and a MSc in Geochemistry from the University of Leeds, UK.
