Cindy Giglio

Associate Director, Upstream Energy Research

Cindy Giglio is an Associate Director within Upstream Energy Research, at S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Cindy is primarily responsible for generating analytical research insights and commentary relating to energy company valuations, company market activity trends, M&A transaction activity, and assets on the market, beyond current standard research product offerings. Research efforts bridge across the upstream energy teams and may build upon the analytical work of other analysts and may include collaborative research efforts. Previously, her responsibilities focused on equity analysis, valuations, and strategy assessment of major integrated oil and gas companies, national oil companies, and international E&P companies as well as independent refiners and integrated gas companies.

Cindy has more than 25 years of experience in research and product management within the investment industry, including more than 15 years within the global energy sector. Before joining the company in 2002, she was an index analyst for Standard & Poor's, led US indices research at Goldman Sachs, and was a hedge fund of funds portfolio manager at The Common fund.

Cindy holds a Bachelor of Arts in geology and mathematics from Hamilton College and a Master of Science in mathematics from Fairfield University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
