Anna Galtsova, director with the Russian and Caspian Energy team, Gas, Power, and Energy Futures at S&P Global Commodity Insights
Anna focuses on the analysis of broad trends and issues in the energy sector of former Soviet Union countries as well as project economics. She has participated in a number of strategy planning projects for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Ukraine and Ministry of Finance in Ukraine and also for Russian and international oil and gas majors as well as for the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. She is the author of numerous strategic publications on Eurasian gas industry fundamentals analysis and long-term forecasting, including supply, demand, exports (pipeline, LNG), and regulation. Anna regularly takes part in S&P Global(Now a part of S&P Global) Energy Briefings and CERAWeek. She is also regularly invited as a speaker at key industry events, including the National Oil and Gas Forum, International Forum Energy Security and Development Prospects, Astana Economic Forum, Moscow International Oil and Gas Exhibition, LNG Congress, and other events in Europe and Asia. Prior to joining S&P Global, Anna was an equity analyst at Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital, where she covered the oil sector in Central Asia. She also worked at the Russian consulting company ERTA Analytical Group, where she conducted in-depth analysis of the Russian gas market, including asset valuation, supply/demand forecast modeling, pricing outlooks, transportation issues, and market rules and regulation.
Anna holds a degree from Moscow State Linguistic University and a certificate in financial analysis and portfolio management from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Russia.
